Marketing Programs Coordinator

Position Summary
The Marketing Programs Coordinator will be a key member of the Marketing team and assist in the implementation of major Connect & Celebrate programs of significant importance to the foundation and social entrepreneurs worldwide. Primary responsibility will be managing efforts associated with the Skoll World Forum, as well as other brand related, media and marketing communications projects as assigned. The Skoll World Forum is a program of the Skoll Centre on Social Entrepreneurship at the Said Business School, University of Oxford and is co-produced, and co-sponsored by both the Skoll Centre and the Skoll Foundation. This position reports to the Marketing Director.

Primary Responsibilities

Skoll World Forum

  • Work with event management consultant and Skoll Centre partners to manage registration process, stock control and hotel arrangements for key constituents.
  • Act as key point of contact for Skoll Awardees and foundation staff attending the Forum including communications, briefings and coordination of logistics prior to and onsite in Oxford.
  • Assist with the planning and implementation of the Skoll Foundation Awards Ceremony and Skoll Awardee convening at the Forum.
  • Coordinate private foundation dinners including guest lists, invitations, catering and special requirements.
  • Develop and produce briefing binders for key constituents.
  • Work with marketing assistant to coordinate ordering, shipping and return of all collateral and materials related to the Forum.
  • Manage the organization and iterations of key documents related to the Forum
  • Manage and track consultant contracts related to the Forum including photographers and filmmakers.
  • Manage onsite implementation of Foundation related activities at the Forum.
  • Coordinate elements of post Forum analysis including budget reconciliation.
  • Manage other special projects as assigned.  

Creative Services Support

  • Coordination of meetings and communications to support development of “Uncommon Heroes”  short films
  • Coordinating relationships with print, editing and design vendor
  • Support web team on implementation of programs

Broader Marketing Team Support

  • Assist in preparation of key connect and celebrate initiatives as assigned.

Qualifications and Abilities:

  • At least 5 years experience in marketing and event management.
  • Experience producing events and conferences with registration systems.
  • Project management expertise with experience simultaneously managing multiple projects on time and on budget
  • Experience working collaboratively with partners on major projects to achieve mutually beneficial results
  • Ability to translate from strategic imperatives to logistical realities
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish positive relationships and be an effective team player with individuals from a variety of backgrounds
  • Excellent verbal and written communications skills
  • Desire and proven ability to work in an intense, results-oriented environment
  • Relentless attention to detail and sound judgment
  • A strongly developed sense of integrity, humility and discretion
  • Experience managing budgets and reporting results
  • Available for international travel and ability to work flexibly
  • Cross-functional or team experience in matrix organizations preferred
  • Nonprofit experience and international experience preferred

Education and Experience:

  • BA required. 

Compensation
A competitive compensation package will be commensurate with background.
