The Skoll Foundation (a private foundation)

The Skoll Fund (a public charity)

The Skoll Fund is a supporting organization of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation (SVCF) and has been connected with the SVCF from inception. The Skoll Fund was initially launched in 1999 and incubated within the SVCF’s predecessor, the Community Foundation Silicon Valley, which provided office space, grants software support, IT and HR support, financial infrastructure and counsel to Jeff Skoll and the growing team of the Skoll Fund staff. With the creation and growth of the private Skoll Foundation in the early 2000s, the Skoll Fund was integrated programmatically with the Skoll Foundation. In recognition of the important work of the CFSV/SVCF in supporting the local community, the Skoll Fund has awarded over $10 million to the organization since 1999, primarily through the Urgency Fund and Community Investment Fund initiatives.

The Skoll Fund’s financial statements, which are consolidated with those of the Silicon Valley Community Foundation, may be viewed at: http://www.siliconvalleycf.org/about_financial.html. The Skoll Fund's tax returns are available on GuideStar.org
